Our First Blog Post

It feels fitting that our first official blog post arrives at the end of another full year, a natural pause to look at where we started and where we’re going.

Of The New Day began over eighteen months ago with a simple intention: provide meaningful, evidence-based ABA services grounded in respect, flexibility, and compassion. We started quietly and intentionally with one learner, one program and one therapist. What looked small at the time has become the foundation of everything that has followed.

The name Of The New Day comes from my maiden name, Del Nuovo, meaning “of the new.” The name represents exactly what we hoped to build: a space where Applied Behavior Analysis could remain rooted in science, structure, and technical integrity, while also making room for connection, more play, and autonomy. A model doesn’t need to be rigid to be effective, and it doesn’t need to be overly clinical in tone to be clinical in practice.

In these months, the work has grown step by step. Not by following a strict blueprint, but by paying attention: to families, to staff, to the needs of the community, and to what the field is evolving toward. We’ve added systems, refined how we work, continued professional development, attended conferences, hosted webinars for families, and soon we’ll expand learning opportunities even further with CEUs for clinicians and community partners as well as advocacy opportunities.

Now, as staff reach one year anniversaries and our team settles into its rhythm, the space feels lived in and purposeful. There is laughter. There is collaboration. There are meaningful routines and systems forming around the work.

Eighteen months is not a long time in the lifespan of an organization, but it has been long enough to see momentum take shape. Long enough to recognize that the approach is working. And long enough to feel grateful for everyone who has contributed to it.

So here’s to the beginning, the growth, and what comes next.

We’re just getting started.
